DIRECTOR
Pieter Muller
Pieter has accumulated extensive insurance expertise throughout his 30-year career, having worked in various capacities with industry leaders such as Willis, M&F, and Zurich.
​
With a background spanning over three decades in diverse areas of commerce, Pieter has served as an advisor to a wide range of complex commercial insurance clients. His portfolio has included well-known JSE listed companies and non-listed corporates.
​
Prior to joining Credelex, Pieter served as a director in a boutique brokerage, where he played a key role in driving business growth, particularly in new product development, mining, manufacturing, construction, and engineering risks.
​
Following his studies in insurance fields such as Risk Management, Construction, and Engineering (all with distinction), Pieter further expanded his knowledge by completing additional studies in the specialised field of Integrated Risk Management at the University of Stellenbosch Business School.
More recently, he obtained accreditation from ANZIIF (Australian New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance), laying the groundwork for becoming a specialist in "distressed" fire risks and the complex engineering solutions essential for mitigating such exposures.

DIRECTOR
Tobias Strydom
Tobias is a dynamic and diligent individual dedicated to lifelong learning. He is captivated by the complexities of unconventional risks and excels in devising innovative solutions to tackle them.
Tobias graduated from Langenhoven Gimnasium in 2009 and obtained his LLB degree from North-West University, where he also completed law school.
​
Following his articles in Vereeniging and passing the attorneys' admission exams in 2018, Tobias chose to specialise in various aspects of transferrable and non-transferable risk, diverging from a conventional insurance career path. He gained invaluable experience in corporate, commercial, and agricultural risks while working with a Financial Services Provider from 2019 to 2022.

Tobias furthered his education by completing Enterprise Risk Management studies at University of Stellenbosch Business School, focusing on constructing risk frameworks aligned with ISO 31000 and COSO infrastructure.
With over five years of commercial insurance experience, Tobias brings a wealth of knowledge to his role.

Estelle van Rooyen
Estelle, an enthusiastic Consumer Scientist and Business Developer, plays a crucial role as a key member of a boutique risk consultancy specialising in fire protection planning, risk assessments and mitigation solutions.
​
Excelling in her capacity, she conducts thorough risk surveys and collaborates closely with industry specialists, including ECSA registered fire engineers, to provide tailored recommendations. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive reporting to clients and insurance companies alike.
​
Driven by a passion for innovative problem-solving and continuous learning, Estelle's commitment to excel in an environment fostering growth and embracing new challenges is evident.
​
With Honours and Bachelor of Science degrees in Consumer Sciences, and further studied risk management at the University of Cape Town (UCT) where she enhanced her ability to navigate distressed fire risks and implement comprehensive fire risk mitigation solutions.
